Below Sirwolten

Below Sirwolten

After having overcome the rock barrier by the waterfall above the Wysse Bode, the sight widens up.

The Wysse Bode is clearly visible below. One also clearly makes out the road to the Simplon pass and its highest point. Below the road, one sees the building of the Alte Spittel and the old stables of the "Sust".

The Simplon pass is dominated to the left by the Tochuhorn and Stadlhorn. In the opening of the pass, one sees the Fülhorn, Grosse and Kleine Huwetz. This group of tops dominates the Saflischpass.

In the far background, one sees the Aletschhorn to the left. To the right is the Grosses Wannehorn. Between the two tops flows the glacier of Aletsch.
