Chamonix Valley seen from Balme's Pass

Chamonix Valley seen from Balme's Pass

Some say that this is the nicest view on the Mont Blanc. In fact, one can see the Aiguille Verte and the Mont Blanc in a row, so that one can assess the contrast between the 4000 meters high tops and Chamonix Valley. Is it for that reason that this place is quite frequented? Or is it because a chair lift leads to nearby Charamillon?

When one goes down from the Pass toward Trient, it’s advisable to take the way that goes nearby Catogne alp.
