Going down toward Corraterie

Going down toward Corraterie

The Corraterie is among the most frequented paths of the Salève. Its name comes from this fact, since it has the name of a frequented street of Geneva.

To hike it, is always a renewed pleasure, even when the conditions are not ideal as it was when the picture has been taken.

Officially, the Corraterie path starts from Grande Gorge and makes a long crossing in under woods below pastures. This first section is often slippery since it is muddy. I rather prefer cross the pastures on the Etraz path to reach Corraterie at its most beautiful and spectacular section.
